30 Day Yoga Challenge, still going Strong!!!

Keep Going Yogis! We’re Half-Way There.
“Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.”
— Mother Teresa

Yogis, we’re half-way through our 30 Day Challenge, and we’ve loved seeing so many of you make the daily commitment to deepen your practice and spend some extra time on your mat this month (and to be honest, we especially love seeing your smiling faces around the studio more.) If you’ve been dedicated to the challenge since we started, then you’re probably already seeing the benefits to your practice. But even if you’ve accidentally skipped a day or two here and there, don’t worry! Now, at our half-way mark, is the perfect time to recommit — and we’re here for you every step of the way.

If you’re one of our yoga adventurers who missed last month’s sold-out Yoga & Ride event, you’ll be excited to know we’re offering it again in October! Back in September, SSY partnered with local business Basket & Bike for an amazing day of biking, yoga, food, friendship, and fun (and yeah, plenty of bike selfies too.) As part of our monthly Chase Adventure event series, we welcomed a group of yogis to bike with us from the beautiful Upper Shirley Vineyards to Edgewood Plantation, where we enjoyed an afternoon of yoga, meditation, a delicious picnic lunch, lots of laughter, and plenty of time to take in the amazing end-of-summer weather. Now, with fall in the air, we can’t wait to hit the open road (and our yoga mats) again! Basket & Bike provides the bikes and the food, we’ll provide the yoga and friends. (And don’t worry if you haven’t rolled around on two wheels since elementary school… as they say, it’s like riding a bike.)

Finally, be sure to mark your calendars for a little happiness this month, with our weekend-long Happiness Program. Led by Shaphali Agrawal and in collaboration with Art of Living Richmond, come learn how a mix of yoga, breathing techniques, and meditation can raise the quality of your life. The goal of this nationally-recognized program is to teach you lifelong, do-it-yourself techniques for better mind/body health, stress-management in difficult situations, skills for forming deeper relationships, better overall contentment, and lots more. Join us Friday, October 27 to Sunday, October 29 for this life-changing workshop. To learn more visit: https://www.artofliving.org/us-en/program/146392.

See you on your mat soon!!!
